Understanding Tag Systems by Comparing Tag models

چکیده

Since Holland (1993) introduced the concept of tags a number of tag models with intriguing and potentially very useful, properties have been advanced. However there is currently little understanding as to the exact mechanisms that produce these results. Specifically it is not know what (if any) are the necessary conditions for tag systems to produce high levels of cooperation in social dilemmas. In this paper by comparing existing tag models to formulate a hypothesis and then using simulation we identify what appears be a necessary condition for high cooperation. Previous tag models implicitly contained the condition but authors did not identify the significance of it.

افزایش سرعت شناسایی در سیستم‌های RFID

Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a new generation of automatic identification systems, based on wireless communication technology. In these systems all the tags using one communication channel to communicate with the reader. When two or more tags transmit their data to the reader simultaneously, their transmitted signals will collide. Resolving this collision has a direct impact on the ...

Change Your Tags Fast! - A Necessary Condition for Cooperation?

Several tag models with intriguing properties have been advanced recently. But currently there is little detailed understanding of the underlying processes. Specifically it is not know what (if any) are the necessary conditions for tag systems to produce high levels of cooperation. We identify, for the first time, what appears to be a necessary condition that previous tag models implicitly cont...

Tags for All! – Understanding and Engineering Tag Systems

Since Holland (1993) introduced the concept of tags as a possible mechanism for the maintenance of cooperation between individuals within an evolving system (among other things) a number of tag models with intriguing and potentially very useful, properties have been advanced. However there is currently little understanding as to the exact mechanisms that produce these results. Specifically it i...

A framework for comparing models of computation

We give a denotational framework (a “meta model”) within which certain properties of models of computation can be compared. It describes concurrent processes in general terms as sets of possible behaviors. A process is determinate if, given the constraints imposed by the inputs, there are exactly one or exactly zero behaviors. Compositions of processes are processes with behaviors in the inters...

مقایسه سطح لیپیدهای سرم در بیماران دچار تکمه پوستی با افراد سالم

Introduction & Objective: Skin tag is a soft, small and pedunculated lesion that is usually located on the skin folds like neck and axilla. The relationship between skin tags and dyslipidemia has been reported in several studies. This study was conducted with the aim of comparing serum lipid levels in skin tag affected subjects with healthy individuals. Materials & Methods: In this case-cont...
